Adams Point 2015 Summer Season

The pool is set to open on May 16, 2015!

Below are the established pool rules for 2015 which will also be posted on site. Please be aware that these rules have been established for various reasons including managing insurance and liability issues.  Our top priority in creating and enforcing these rules, however, is the safety and well-being of everyone in our community. We hope you have a safe and happy summer season enjoying our neighborhood amenities!

Pedestrian Crosswalks

The Adams Point Safety Committee is excited to announce the addition of pedestrian crosswalks throughout our neighborhood. These crosswalks are just one more attempt from your elected board and safety committee to add an additional level of safety to our streets. You will notice many intersections that will lack crosswalks after the first phase of this project. This is due to construction underway that inhibits our ability to effectively add these crosswalks. There are also areas where ADA concerns are requiring your safety committee and board to reconstruct a few of the medians leading into and out of our neighborhood. These intersections will have crosswalks added after those issues are corrected. Please be mindful of these crosswalks and continue to drive slowly on our neighborhood streets. As always, in accordance with state law, pedestrians have the right of way. Please drive safely!

Neighborhood Playground

Re: Playground Addition By The Pool House

We are excited to announce we will be breaking ground on a community playground in the upcoming days. It will be located adjacent to the pool house, near the intersection of Fieldtrial Circle and Sporting Club Drive.

The vendor selected, Playgrounds of the Carolinas, was chosen after an exhaustive process and unanimous Board approval. Criteria included price, warranty, and overall durability.

While neighborhood children will be the final critics of the new structure, we hope parents and the community as a whole will appreciate the added value this feature will bring to Adams Point for many years.

Sincerely,

Your HOA Board / Your Neighbor

Lighting Update

Re: Adams Point Street Lights

Community,

The HOA has been diligently pursuing the installation of street lights to complete all areas of the development. Please be aware this responsibility falls on Duke Energy Progress, who is currently working to install the planned lighting. They have, however, encountered an issue with the availability of the poles used in Adams Point. The poles are Special Order items and are currently out of stock.

We have asked Duke Energy Progress to install temporary light poles to promote neighborhood safety while we await installation of the needed poles, and they have agreed to do so. The recent inclement weather challenges have delayed the start of Duke Energy Progress installing the temporary poles, but they are expected to perform this function in the near future.

Sincerely,

Your HOA Board / Your Neighbor
